Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown has hit back at her ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy and says that she is shocked by his comments regarding the paternity of her unborn baby.
The Wannabe singer had been dating Eddie since June, 06 but he has now demanded a DNA test to prove that he is the actual father of her child. Brown issued a statement to Hollywood blogger 'Perez Hilton' this morning, saying, "I am obviously upset and distressed at some of the comments made by Eddie Murphy to the media. "I have no idea why anybody would want to conduct themselves in this kind of manner about such a personal matter in such a public way". "My main concern is for the well being of my daughter Phoenix and of course the baby. I was astonished about what Eddie said - there is absolutely no question that Eddie is the father."
Murphy appeared on Dutch TV and announced the couple were no longer dating only one day after the singer said they were looking forward to spending Christmas together.
Murphy is now stepping out with his new girlfriend Tracey Edmonds and were recently seen at the New York City premiere of his latest film 'Dreamgirls'.
