Tom Cruise intends to take Katie Holmes on a romantic break for her upcoming 30th birthday.
He says that he wants Katie to relax after she finishes her run on the Broadway show 'All My Sons' and thinks that some private time together with their two-year-old daughter Suri would be good.
A source close to Tom and Katie said, "Tom realizes that Katie has been working very hard on the show, so when it's over he's planning on taking her on a romantic break with Suri too. They just want to spend some quality time together as a family and he feels a holiday would be the best way of doing that away from prying eyes. She will be in for a real treat".
Asked if the difference in their ages, (Tom is 46) is a problem Katie responded, "I find that as I get older I am excited to get older. There are more things for me to learn. I realize that I don't know as much as I thought I did. I like looking back and seeing pictures of the past because that is 'who' I created for me. That is what I was doing. I appreciate it more and more. Every day I try to find out more things about myself. I love changing".
